Family Life Center Update

Jessica Browne Uncategorized Leave a Comment

We are excited with the possibilities that the Family Life Center will allow us to enjoy and share in outreach to our community.

The budget has been stretched with the many city compliances that are needed to stay within city codes. With this being said, the pictures are items with prices showing what it will take to purchase these items. In addition to the pictures below, we are needing 24 folding tables ($88 each) and 300 stack-able chairs ($33 each).

If you would prayerfully consider contributing toward any of these items, please make notation on your Tithe and Offering envelope in the next couple of weeks. Please mark your envelope FLC, then the item, and the amount with your contribution. Together we can keep moving forward.

Thank you in advance!

Bible Goodbyes: Choose. Remember. Go. – Apr 23, 2016

Dan Serns Worship Service Leave a Comment

Choose-the-right-drug-rehab-768x300How do you say goodbye to people you love? What can you say when you have invested yourself in the lives of a church family and its mission for 6+ years but it’s time to say goodbye?

Just like every remember-saidaonlineSabbath message, we will let God’s Word have the final word. We will look at some goodbyes in the Bible and lessons we can learn from key words in each of them – Choose (Moses, Joshua). Remember (Solomon, Paul). Go (Jesus). We will also hear thrilling testimonies of changed lives from those who will be uniting with the Richardson Seventh-day Adventist Church through baptism, profession of faith and transfer.

PrintJoin us this Sabbath at Richardson (9am & 11:30am) for Pastor Dan’s final message as Senior Pastor at Richardson as he transitions to full time Texas English Evangelism Coordinator. Feel free to invite friends.

When Every Tomb is Empty – Mar 26

Dan Serns Worship Service Leave a Comment

jesus-in-front-of-tomb-1This weekend many around the world are celebrating Easter and the empty tomb of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord He truly rose from the dead and has the keys of death and the grave (Revelation 1:18)!

Jesus spoke of a time when every tomb will be empty! “…the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.” John 5:28-29.

urlWhen Jesus comes again the second time He will empty all the tombs of the righteous (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:4-6). And then, a thousand years later, the rest of the dead, the wicked, will be called out of their tombs, but just for a little while (Revelation 20:3, 5, 7-15).

blogger-image-1323936285What will it be like when every tomb is empty, when everyone who has ever lived on Planet Earth is alive at the same time? To find out, join us this Sabbath at Richardson (9am & 11:30am) as we study Revelation 20-22 (and The Great Hope chapter 11). This is the final message in our series “The Great Hope.” Feel free to invite friends.

(On Sabbath, April 2, we will have Neighborhood Church in six locations, including our mother church. We will begin a three-month study of Health & Wellness.)

Whose Side Are You On? – Jan 23

Dan Serns Worship Service Leave a Comment

whose-side-are-you-smallIt’s a political discussion at work. A co-worker shares passionately why everyone should vote for a certain candidate. Others agree. You chime in with a different perspective. Your co-workers look at you and say “Whose Side Are You On”?

At school your boyfriend is being unreasonable. One of your classmates tries to persuade him to quit talking and acting the way he is. You agree aloud. He turns to you and say “Whose Side Are You On”?

Your two children have gotten into a fight and now you are trying to sort it out. You listen to both sides then tell each of them to sit in a different chair until each of them gives the other permission to get up. Your child who feels the most wronged says “Whose Side Are You On”?

We are often asked to pick sides. But most importantly how can we be sure we are on the Lord’s side in our decisions and lifestyle?

Join us this Sabbath at Richardson (9am & 11:30am) as we study Joshua 5:13-15 (and The Great Hope chapter 3). This is part of our series “The Great Hope.” Feel free to invite friends.
